The Presbyterian Church in America

Being Reformed means that we emphasize
the grace and sovereignty of God, and
uphold the biblical truths recovered by the
Reformation. Our beliefs are summarized in
the Westminster Confession of Faith with the
Larger and Shorter Catechisms, and reflect
an understanding of the covenantal way in
which God has consistently related to his
people.

our church government is representative in
form. Local churches are governed by
elected elders (presbyters), who in turn are
represented within the "presbytery" that
comprises a geographical region.
Representatives of presbyteries meet
annually at "General Assembly". We
believe this form of government best
reflects the form presented in the New
Testament and best assures the purity and
integrity of the Church.

is breathed out by God, it is able to
save our souls. God promises that just
as the rain and snow unfailingly water
the earth when they fall, so His Word
will accomplish its purpose when it
goes forth. Of course, it's no

God, came to earth as the Word made
flesh. Truly, the power of the Church
is the Word.
